CIDEON Launches Campaign to Help Japanese Earthquake Victims

April 2011:

CIDEON AG doubles its donation during a company-wide campaign to help the victims of the Japanese earthquake.

CIDEON staff responded to the news of the twin natural disasters that occurred in Japan with shock and dismay. The uninterrupted news of the disaster and the alarming extent of the damage to the Fukushima nuclear power plant have led to an increasing desire to help.

CIDEON management therefore launched a campaign for its staff to help the victims in Japan. Within the first week CIDON staff collected more than 4,500 Euro, an amount which exceeded management’s expectations by far. The company doubled this amount to an overall total of 10,000 Euro.

This money is meant to reach the people in need as quickly as possible. In his words of thanks to CIDEON staff for their great response to the campaign for the Japanese earthquake victims, Lenz Finster, chairman of the board of directors of CIDEON AG, stated “We would like to make this token gesture towards alleviating the suffering to demonstrate our solidarity with the people of Japan.”

The donated money will be handed over to the German Red Cross who in turn will transfer the money to the Japanese Red Cross to support their work at the site of the disaster
