Significant gains in performance with the Multithreaded SAPhttp.exe

July 2010:
The multithreaded SAPhttp.exe with the SAP note 1474349 is now available for download at the SAP Servicemarketplace.

The .exe, which was developed jointly between SAP and CIDEON, delivers significant gains in performance in the Checkout process, especially in WAN scenarios. Depending on the Content/Cache Server topology and of course on the network infrastructure this can mean an improvement in speed of more than 50% compared to the conventional Checkout process.

Every customer who is already using Mass Checkout can enjoy improved performance by simply exchanging the .exe.

When installing the .exe we recommend setting the thread count to 4, which based on our measurements, is the optimal setting.
