Plant construction firms or operators face the challenge of designing, operating or maintaining highly complex assets. The design is mostly done in CAD systems such as AutoCAD or MicroStation with the use of additional modules for plant industries.
For the first time this process can be completely realized within SAP using CIDEON Plant Solution for SAP PLM. Additional interfaces to external databases or other PDM systems are not required anymore. Asset structures can directly be transferred into SAP bill of materials, project P&ID with total BOM and SAP head material and SAP document asset structures. Furthermore they can be modeled within SAP PM, PSP and PVS structures.

The direct integration from CIDEON Software is based on:

• the SAP PLM Integration to AutoCAD with Autodesk Plant 3D application
• the SAP PLM Integration to MicroStation with Bentley PlantSpace

As of June this year, the standard of the SAP PLM Integration to AutoCAD and the SAP PLM Integration to MicroStation will not only cover the material and document management, but also contain the SAP PM Integration to equipments and functional locations.
Besides P&ID and equipments, CIDEON Plant Solutions supports the creation of Isometrics as well.
